What’s The Limit

June 1, 2009

I know I am late but never the less here is our 4th of 8  core topics that we will introduce to our students next year.

Moral Boundaries

I have heard so many messages on purity as a youth pastor, and almost alll of them only cover on topic, Sexual Purity.  I believe we need to set the bar higher then just remaining sexually pure.  We want to train young people in how they can live pure in all they do.  Their thoughts, words, actions, what they watch, and what they listen to.  Purity is not a destination you arrive at but a direction you chose everyday.  If we can teach young people that I think it will help navigate their way through life with confidence.  Should be a great series when we get to it!

  1. Amen! Thanks for putting that out there without a blink! You are so so right. I tell my son, who’s 17, that working for what seems decades to release the shame of knowing what you’ve done with your body – because of what you’ve heard, seen, and feel like doing – it’s not easy. It’s not pleasant and even though God forgives and cleanses us – the enemy is always trying to throw our old stained clothes back in our faces. Thanks!

  2. Totally.
Too easy to think purity is just sexual, and not everyday.
