Crazy Love

May 1, 2009

Today was an incredible day at The Orange Conference I am blown away by the excellence and creativity that the Orange team puts into this event.

This morning we had the opportunity to hear from Francis Chan author of Crazy Love.  What I loved about him was how real and transparent he was and how real he was with us.  He really challenged us to be bold using the early church as his text.  The stories he shared from his own life were what really made his talk stick with me.  I have to say that I was truly challenged this morning in a good way to live in that place of boldness, not in a preach to everyone I see way, but to be willing to step out and share with others.  I remember when I was first saved the desire I had to just tell everyone that would listen to how my life was changed.  It was so much fun and the amazing thing was I was seeing people getting saved.  The question I asked myself this morning was, what happened?  Now don’t get me wrong, I love sharing my faith but it seems being in the business of ministry we often lose sight of that, or at least I have.  I know this though, as followers of Christ we  never look more like Christ then when we are reaching out and seeing people rescued from sin.

Have you lost that passion to share, are you lacking boldness?  The cool thing is all we have to do is ask.

Until tomorrow.
